This is a Swedish Vessel Radio from the 40's. The brand is SRA (Svenska Radioaktiebolaget). SRA was founded in 1919 by LM Ericsson, AGA (Aktiebolaget Gasaccumulator) and ASEA (Allmänna Svenska Elektriska Aktiebolaget). In 1927 AGA and ASEA left SRA and LM Ericsson became the major owner and the Marconi company came into SRA as a new minor owner. Radios for the consumer market was branded Radiola and radios for other markets, such as the Military, the Police, etc. was branded SRA. In 1944 SRA launched their first Police mobile radio. In 1954 SRA launched their first Radiola TV-set. In 1963 the Ericsson company sold the consumer electronics part of SRA and also the Radiola brand to the AGA company. In 1977 SRA acquires the SONAB base-station division. In 1983 SRA becomes ERA (Ericsson Radio Systems) and takes the responsibility for all mobile systems and Marconi leaves. The ML-46 has three frequency ranges: 50 ... 150 kHz , 170 ... 550 kHz and 1.5 ... 4.5 MHz All four electron tubes are Triode-Heptode types ECH21. Full manual in English (4.5MB) and Swedish (4.2MB). |
