The
Frequency Counter IB-1103 came
on
the market in 1973 and was
produced until 1977. It is the last and the most advanced frequency
counter in the IB-1100-series*.
The specification states that the upper
frequency limit is 180MHz but it handles frequencies quite higher
than that. It uses Nixie tubes to indicate the measured frequency.
Later versions of Heathkit Frequency Counters (the IM-4100
series in 1977...1979 and the IM-2400
series in 1980...1992) used LED
display to indicate the measured
frequency.
